now that the dust has settled what do we think of skyrim?

I wish Bethesda had better writers. Ones who knew the definition of what a coherent plot looks like.

Skyrim was tripe where the story concepts were twisted around to quickly pimp dragons.

Fallout 4 was tripe where the story concepts were twisted around to quickly pimp power armor.

It's like they have a marketing shit dictating the structure of their games. It's to nothing's benefit. It just makes the flow of the games into absolute fucking nonsense.

It's really sad considering TES has some of the most interesting lore wank to eve be conceived. It'll never be realized because Bethesda makes dumb, safe, mass-market games for dumb, vapid people. The sort of fucking ingrates that get to story sections and try to skip them by randomly attacking people or mashing buttons because they only care about hitting things and going through repetitive quests for the arbitrary sense of progress without any care for the quality of what they're consuming. These Old Country Buffet fucks need to get out of my RPG target market or smarten the fuck up before I figure out how to make subliminal hum shit work and sneak it into some game files to make them subliminally humiliate themselves in public.

Combat system is more "fun". They had to make it accessible for people with IQ less than 4 so that console players could keep up.

I really love exploration so I really enjoyed that part of skyrim although doing the same dungeon with just reskins got boring really fast. The RPG system is really, really shallow, I'm almost inclined to say it doesn't real character customization. Overall it's nice to kill some time but I rather play different games if I want to play a RPG.

But after playing dark souls the combat of skyrim just feels bad, nothing does any damage except crit bows.

Actually yes, I just felt like stating my opinion on the matter.

Bioware and Bethesda are both studios that I've 100% given up on, but it took longer for me with Bethesda because I actually bought fallout 4.
