I could easily forgive the reveal trailer, because I figured "it'll get better as it gets closer to finished". Capcom managed to actually make me less excited the more they showed of the game. The roster is less interesting than vanilla MvC3, models actually look worse than MvC3 and actually writing a story somehow has less personality than the trailers for, again, MvC3. It's crazy how much less of game this is compared to the previous installment. There's no reason to play MvCI simply because UMvC3 still exists.

I agree, it'll be a good game but it won't be living up to its potential which makes it a very disappointing title.

The gameplay looks good but it has some parts here and there that annoy me a bit (like the character screaming the gem's name every time they use it).

The graphics are KOF XIV tier, which means serviceable but nothing above that.

The roster sucks ass, with like.. 4 characters worth playing.

Fighting games pretty much always do big character reveal trailers, especially this close to launch. I mean hell just compare this to Injustice 2 where the last four months leading up to release had tons of roster reveal trailers and streams with in-depth gameplay breakdowns for new modes, stages and characters. Even if there are no She-Hulk licensing issues (I'm not sure of the details of Universal's Hulk rights), Marvel just isn't pushing her. She was blown up and then made DRAMATIC due to Civil War 2, an event blatantly made to push Captain Marvel. Ike also just doesn't believe women sell toys (or anything really), so the only reason they're pushing Captain Marvel is because Marvel Studios is going to make her a movie (which probably wouldn't have happened if Ike was still able to influence the films at all). Yeah I don't get this. Where are all the female characters period? We're getting all of four in Infinite. On BOTH sides, we're really lacking female characters. It's really odd and uncharacteristic of Capcom and fighting games in general to not have way more females than we actually do. Where's Scarlet Witch? Black Widow? The aforementioned She-Hulk? People only play SFV because it is pushed harder than Overwatch to be an "e-sport". Sponsors literally won't let their players touch any game that isnt the most pushed one, so you end up with to players who hate the game and are only in it for money. No one genuinely likes SFV, but FGC is so poverty they go to whoever offers just one dollar more.

Same shit for Infinite, but this time Capcom got a tad smarter and invited top players to their events and give them gifts and paid flights in exchange for good things said about Infinite, however no one is that stupid. Everyone with a brain who isnt paid off in the FGC can see what a train wreck Infinite is. Even fucking MAXIFUCKINGMILLIAN is not shilling the game. That's how you know it's utter trash, the easiest hypeman to please in the FGC who literally says every fighting game is his favorite fighting game is not shilling the game.

Marvel side is bad in the sense that not enough potential newcommers from the MCU are in. If Loki, Scarlet Witch, Black Panther, and Vision were in the game's base roster it would be more bearable to not see any X-men or Doom, because lets be real, we all knew they would have reduced roles with the way Marvel treats them. MAYBE just Wolverine and Doom at best. It doesn't hurt me as much as othjers to not see them there because I didn't exactly expect them to return.

Capcom side on the other hand has shit like Chris, Nemesis, Firebrand, Spencer, Frank West, and Zero.

The lack of newcomers really is the roster's biggest problem. It'd be one thing if they had brought back most if not every character from 3, but with so many cuts the lack of new blood hurts bad. If you're gonna ditch so many beloved characters then you need to replace them with something that will excite people and the likes of Gamora and Ultron just don't cut it.

I'm completely new to fighting games and got GGRev2. Having a blast getting used to an arcade stick and learning the moves. Shit like landing 3 of Jam's special kicks in the air, or playing as Venom is general is a blast. The fact that I know I'm currently in the bottom 5% of players is only encouraging, there's always a mechanic I can look forward to learning and actually using effeciently against players. Honestly I don't get the criticism about GG having too many systems - as a new player I don't need to think about them all at once. I can just focus on faultless defence and the occasional roman cancel per match for now and then, with time, add the other 5 or 6 defensive/mix-up options.

From what I've seen from SFV guides the game doesn't look that interesting. For example I like the challenge of pulling off the inputs with perfect timing in GG, but in SFV everything is so simple by comparison. I'm sure it would still take time to master, but there's little to learn. I'd rather get a balance of both.

Yeah, I accept that it's just a MCU advertisement, but it should be the BEST MCU advertisement. Nearly anyone can list half a dozen MCU characters that should be in the base roster. They didn't even put any of the Netfix characters in, and those have done really well. I think the worst thing is that we ready for a very different game than MvC3, but we just got a watered down version of MvC3 minus a lot of the excitement. There should be at least twice as many newcomers in this.

Then E3 trailer drops and we see that Zero is added, so now people think it's Zero since everyone else lines up. Funny thing is, I read that expecting cringe, and it was actually okay. Not great, but not horrible. Even had some actual useful tips for people who made excuses for not voting. They got Vote Loki out before the election was over, so why not that issue (which didn't have shit to do with any ongoing storyline, so could have come out any month)?

My guess is Ike Perlmutter doesn't actually want more people going out to vote.
