Name one way in which TRC's ending is not the perfect ending for a series like Dark Souls
>at the end of the world, the only two remaining beings in the world, both of which are complete nobodies that got to where they were through sheer persistence, fight to the death for absolutely no reason
>at the end of their fight, there is no catharsis or revelation, just radio silence and the literal ashes of thousands of kingdoms past
>after all that lore and all that epic world building, this is how it all ends, not with a bang, but a whimper
>in this dystopic final form of the world, cycles no longer have a place; there are no ages or anything remaining, just ash

so is that the end of the age of fire? can the gods fuck off now?

That's what you don't get
It's not the end of the age of fire or the end of the age of dark; simply put, it's the end of ages altogether. Cycles don't matter anymore

Still should have at least been a cutscene when giving blood to painter girl. At least something to fade out on would have been nice. Been here since demon's souls and I gotta say that I wanted a bit more to say goodbye.

Agreed. Bloodborne had a very short and simple piece after the Orphan goes down, but I still wanted to sit on the beach and think about it.
