Sure why not. Since if it was a woman then that could some gender specific things that can be added to spice things up. Like having to sneak into a mens restroom or seduction type things of her incapacitating a call girl and taking her place to much more easily and simply move around an area to take out a target.

So as long as they do something interesting with it why the fuck not? and even if they didnt do anything special with the gender change and it still just played over all well and was fun then again why not.

If the game is well-written and has well-implemented, fun gameplay, I'd play as whatever. There was a platformer where you played as a cat that I was following for a while. Not sure what became of it.

Well in the movie OP's girl is from, she's shown to be all style and no substance when the chips are down. She reflects the person she bodyguards. There's another bodyguard in the film who is a man and he gives the protagonist far more trouble. He's confirmed to have survived and will be in the next film.

Women have been assasins throughout history... although their differences were used to their advantage. As in indirect conflict, like seduction and poisoning.

Dude, are you for real? That would have been such horseshit to see after Wick's fights with Cassian. She gave as much resistance as a woman could realistically give without a gun. It was great that the film did shy away from the fact that Wick was far stronger than her.

Well that series is basically the video game version of Austin Powers. It's espionage and assassination, but played up with comedic moments. The Hitman franchise, while it does have it's fictional/sci-fi-ish elements, does attempt to ground itself in a more believable setting.
