Only one DLC is worth buying and it completely breaks the game.

That depends, the only DLC to me worth getting is the deliverance pack and your enjoyment of that is based on how much you like the characters from the deliverance, (Clive Lukas Python Mathilda Clair and Fernand) and would like to know how the backstory of the deliverance

You can get an item that boosts growth rates by 30% and all the weapons, including Astra, Sol, and Luna at the very beginning of the game.

am I the only one who thought that game felt really short? the other FE games I've played all seemed kinda long by comparison.

Don't know about anyone else but it took me about 43 hours on my blind playthrough. I don't know how much of that was grinding fixing mistakes I made though.
I'm on my second run and it feels like I'm blazing through it because now I actually know what I'm doing. I beat Alm's act 3, just starting on Celica and have around 12 hours. I made too many lance users and no magic users coming off of Conquest where magic is terrible.
