Replaying TEW for the second time after the sequel trailer got me hitching.

It's more digestible the second time around but a horror game based on screaming assholes that can kill you in 2 hits in rooms with traps is just a poor man's RE4, albeit with much better art direction.

The problem is that in addition to these retards not being able to grasp tank controls, these people also don't comprehend that tank controls done right can also add a layer to gameplay that nothing else can really match. It compliments the horror genre well but unfortunately we won't ever really see these type of games anymore because idiots can't grasp them and also can't appreciate the difference in gameplay these games bring. Pretty similar to those mecha fanboys. They have a perfectly legitimate genre in gaming with legitimate gameplay but because casual normal masses can't comprehend it or it doesn't appeal to them then these games remain niche. Terrible. It has a good start but quickly devolves into an action packed shitfest. Chris is interesting this time around but he now knows Mgs CQC for some reason. Leon is now Chris from Re6, minus the amnesia thing and plus John Wick GunFu. Rebecca is cute as hell but not much more than a damsel in distress, which is a real shame. Really disappointed in this one since the last two were pretty good.

Beides the already mentioned plebs being unable to tank-controls, the static camera-angles, especially in pre-rendered form, do require a lot more designing and "directing". Every screen in old RE games were carefully thought out in order to make every section memorable and special somehow. The devs could dictate what the player sees at every single corner and turn, which itself resulted some exciting and creepy moments, even if the scene itself would utilize very basic elements.
