What went right

the regular zombies were great, the ai director was alright. the special infected could FUCK RIGHT OFF, just delete them out of the game and the game becomes a 7/10.

2017 and it's still one of the best games for when you only have the time for a quick 30 min vidya session.

except the fact that every expert mode game will 50/50 end up with someone dropping in to kill everyone and leave

I recently redownloaded this cause my friend sold me his little alienware lunchbox for 200 and im having a blast. Coming from consoles, fps on a m/kb is hella rough. I am learning though. I am enjoying it and thats all that matters.

Best parts
Asymmetrical gameplay done better than anything else, even including now.
Interesting interplay between infected, survivors, missions, and AI - Like how the plane alarm scene has multiple ways to do it well, or how the bridge finale is a surprisingly well done chase scene.
Some specific mid-levels were amazing.

Good parts
The cast was fun. Maybe not the best, but Ellis was all kinds of entertaining.
AI director was trying its heart out. Needed a tiny bit more to make it truly great though.
Most of the campaigns taken as whole were merely ok. Each one has a section that was great, but some had 2 sections that were just trash.

Barely passable parts
Weapon selection was too limited.
melee was both too good, and absolute worthless.
The community killed it.
