Doom
>>
>>383528146
doom doesn't have even a single tiddy?
>>
>>383528265

Doom doesn't have much outside of killing demons.
>>
>>383528575
Yeah but there are sometimes like female demons in games and they have tiddies
>>
What's their lowest rated game?
>>
>>383528627

Pretty sure "female demon tiddies" don't count. Demons aren't typically shown wearing clothing and it's not considered "pornographic."
>>
>>383529023
>It should go without saying that this game is geared for a mature audience and I'm honestly surprised that it's available on Steam. It's not rated by the ESRB and if it were, it would most like get an Adult Only rating. (Even with the censored version!) Anyone struggling with pornography should avoid this game entirely. HuniePop pretty much goes against Matthew 5:28 and promotes lusting after (and using) women. As a Christian, I cannot recommend this game to fellow believers. While the puzzles and characters are fun to figure out, there are many more appropriate match three games out there.

What ?

I mean... WHAT??
>>
>>383529478
looking at the other reviews, it looks like a 10/10 for the stuff under morality means that it's acceptable. for example, huniepop has 0/10 for sexual content. so 10/10 sexual content means that there is no sexual content.

I just looked through a few and the reviewer has some nice taste in game.

This may literally be the best place for game reviews and i'm a raging fedora tipper.

>still gives it a high rating

Why are Christians such cucks? Charlie Hebdo posted offensive shit about muslims, muslims stormed their offices and killed them, then they stopped posting offensive shit about muslims.
>>
>>383533038
It's amazing how much you can increase the quality of your reviews by just having a separate score for your personal beliefs. Can you imagine trying to average out "game is about a satanic orgy, advocates the slaughter of innocents" with "tight gameplay, controls well, fun mechanics, great music"? It just doesn't make sense.
>>
>>383533165
>higher is better
I see, I was thrown off by all the anons talking about 10/10 sexual content. Why didn't you call them out for not reading it right? Also, I'm sure the Christians should be all for violence against demons, pretty sure they hate those fuckers as much as Doomguy.
>>
LMAO FEDORA TIPPERS ARE SEETHING ITT
>>
>>383533243
So what you're saying is that Christians are better at separating reality from fiction than Muslims?
Really gets the ol' noggin a joggin.
>>
>>383533243
Dishonesty is really frowned upon, they do not lie because of their religion.

If they had fun playing then they cannot lie about it.
>>
>>383533454
Those anons are also retarded, it's a score based on morality, do you think a score based on morality would consider MORE violence better than less violence?
>>
>>383533474

>christians are evil and racist
>mooselimbs are oppressed victims
>>
>>383533243
They separate morality from the score for a reason. You can say a game is unwholesome content while still acknowledging that it's a good game.
>>
>>383527495
ironic shitposting is still shitposting, faggot
>>
>>383533474
>>
What are games that are both good and moral?
>>
>>383533243
It has a high gameplay rating because CCG understands that not everyone shares the same beliefs, even within their own religion. There are tons of christians out there who don't give a shit about aliens or sexual content or violence or language, they just don't want to play a game where you kill angels like Bayonetta. There are all levels of adherence and interpretation.

CCG understands that, in order to properly serve its goal of being a quality reviewer for the religious audience, it must be able to accommodate those varying levels of belief. To be honest, the church as a whole is probably far more "modern" than most of society, because the paradigm of our time is that there are many, many different ways to worship a god. They at least understand what it means to be tolerant of others' beliefs.

Frankly, the zealots left church a long time ago and went to /pol/ and tumblr.
>>
ChristianCenteredGaming has an app that notifies them whenever they're mentioned.
They visited a few generals in vg before and have stuck around to speak. They seem like pretty cool people, and I appreciate that they do a separate review of the game focused on the game and not the morality behind it.

>>383533579
You're right anon, I'm a retard. Then again, I think you need to ask yourself how demons fit into this. Originally I was going to make the argument that they're not mortal so it shouldn't effect the mortality rating if they're killed, but clearly they are mortal if they can be killed. So I'm going to take a different position, they're from a different realm of existence, hell, right? Why should their deaths contribute to our mortality rating? That's bullshit if you ask me, only count human casualties, because I don't see why it's a negative that demon invaders are getting butchered.

It's affecting the VIOLENCE, because it's so graphic and admittedly the player is getting off on the visceral brutality. Hell, the moral/ethics rating actually is 7.5 so the reviewer definitely seems to think your doing good in the game by destroying so many demons.
>>
>>383534926
That's covered under the Occult/Supernatural score, which is 0/10.

No, I mean you could be killing people, that would still count as violence the same way. > If you're very good in dealing with Milton, you can eventually shut him down by causing a logical loop failure in his programming, similar to how the "War Games" computer figured out that there can be no winners in "Global Thermonuclear War." There is an achievement for accomplishing this feat of logical prowess.

Huh, didn't know that. I climbed the tower on my first run. Time to side with Elohim and see if I can get that achievement.

This happens in Japanese games more often then you would think.

So I have been reading reviews in their site for a while, and I'm honestly surprised at the honesty of them all, you can just perfectly ignore the morality stuff and have a great review right there, but if you do care about that stuff, it's there for you too.

Please don't lose that honesty and sincerity, keep treating games as games instead of business.
>>
>>383548574
Planning on it. Honestly it's not much of a business as we don't make much money from the site. So we're in it to inform others to make better buying decisions that align with their morals. We point out game duds se we don't like people wasting their money in general ;)

Hey, to whoever writes reviews for visual novels, I have a few to recommend. I'll even buy them for you during the next steam sale

Mayjasmine what is God? - It's about the little known event called Black May in Indonesia between the indonesian natives and chinese immigrants

http://store.steampowered.com/app/417110/Mayjasmine_Episode01__What_is_God/

Lucy, the eternity she wished for
-Pretty interesting VN that was originally released in korea in 2010, but translated and revamped for the english speaking audience. If you're familiar with Sartrean existentialism it is intriguing but at the same time beautifully written.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/430960/Lucy_The_Eternity_She_Wished_For/

Sweetest Monster
This goes against almost everything you believe in but I'm really curious what you think of the actual story/premise/style of the VN. This is just for a P.S. since it's inferior to the two mentioned above

Bayonetta has the physique and body type of Slenderman, if she was meant to be sexy than the creators failed completely and utterly at it.

A slight criticism if you're willing to hear it.
You don't seem to be giving game score categories sub 5 scores like you do with morality scores. As a reader it makes my think you're not willing to subjectively critique the game on the same level as you do morality. Why not?

There's nothing wrong with disliking a technical aspect of a game if it does not satisfy your subjective criteria for good. Be bolder with those scores.

Yes, I kind of agree with you there. But
A) It's kind of hard to go back and fix with 1700+ reviews
B) The score was originally based on a letter grade system... so it ended up kind of following that percentage. It happened somewhat on accident...

Not sure what a good fix is, especially after so many years.

We don't shy away from relevant games if people play them. People still care what is in them.

We try to be objective n stuff and hey they are fun too

I epic failed and played returns without taking notes so I couldn't write a review

I haven't played Dragonfall yet. It's on the backlog....

Good to know that there are people even in this day and age that still care more about a game's quality than whether they match their beliefs or not.
Must feel pretty weird to be held by 4chan of all places as the golden standard for game reviews, huh?

I am one of the reviewers with CCGR, one hammers are more fun so my bosses don't know how to properly paladin. Two, Despite struggling to start my career, they have treated me much better then other places and they have actually given me hope to eventually make money on my own and get my name out on my own so I don't have to rely on big corporate names. They actually let me have my own opinion in my reviews whether I like a game or not.

Ill also say this real quick to. Despite grammar issue I am pretty sure I will find a way to make money without being a whiny bitch like some other corporate reviewers lately. After seeing the way some long time paid reviewers responded after videogamedunkey did his thing, makes me wish I was some hipster theater kid instead of going into media training in college.

I never agreed with the objective review thing, if you don't like a game then have the balls and say it even if its for a weird reason, yet they shouldn't be berating the readers for not understanding their mindset, its shameful really. A Media guys job is not to explain the work to the reader or listener, its their job to just do their thing whether the reader or listener gets grumpy at them or not.

They already do that. The difference compared to most outlets is that they wear their bias on their sleeves and separate thst bias from the quality of the game.

>In the beginning you’re restricted on where you can go, but you’ll be free to wander and play this game as you see fit early on. There are lots of side-quests to accept from fellow androids, defectors, and even friendly alien robots if you decide to let them live. Depending on your actions you’ll get to experience multiple endings. I witnessed the A ending and if I’m not mistaken, there are twenty-five more to see if I want to continue playing this game and unlock even more of its unique story. Needless to say, there is plenty of replay value in this title.

>Religion is not particularly shown in a good light in this game and that’s all I’ll say without giving away any spoilers. In her opening monologue, 2B expresses her intent to kill God if He existed. (While 2B kicks butt in battle, God would totally win BTW).

Not that anon, but I don't think so, anon. You look at shit like trigger warnings, and that is mocked, even if put in an unintrusive fashion. If it was a woman saying "Nier is 10 out of 10, but if you are uncomfortable with skimpy outfits, might want to avoid it." I doubt the reaction would be the same. And that is about it for counter examples because I don't want to sound like SJW sympathiser, I just always had this impression of 4chan being against "moralfags" even if it was told in a mellow fashion, but I see there are exceptions. As long as nobody go deus vult on my Japanese shit, I don't mind.

I am 100% for this type of reviewing because it would let sites like Polygon, Gamespot, and Kotaku rate games based on how they are as a
VIDEO
GAME

Instead of how many SJW points they scored. It would mean that Dragon's Crown could get the 8-9/10 it deserves instead of the 6/10 Polygon gave it because Jason Schreier saw tits and proclaimed
>WAAAAAAAAAAHHHH THIS GAME IS A LOLICON FANTASY, MINUS TWO FUCKING POINTS
>>
>>383549676
Is there a database or collection of all the review scores and morality scores that you have done and is there a way to get it?

Asking because it would be fun to do some data analysis of it
>>
>>383558839
I can't speak for anyone else, but if a reviewer said what you did without the added/heavily implied "and therefore this game shouldn't exist" then I would have zero problems with that review. They were upfront with their biases, separated it from the quality of the game, and acknowledged it was a personal thing and not an issue of objective morality.

>>383559040
The problem isn't the style, it's the reviewer. If the reviewer can't separate "treatment of women" and "gameplay", then it doesn't matter what form they use, the reviews will still be garbage. It'd be more likely that they'd drag down the gameplay scores as well as the moral ones.

Find me ONE review that rates Nier Automatic Sunshine that highly and follows it up with trigger warnings.

The problem is, most reviewers let those trigger warnings define their review of the game regardless of the actual gameplay.

The two Popes who resigned before him are pretty entertaining
>Celestine V: 1294. Was elected Pope after the Conclave was unable to secure a complete vote for 2 years. 5 months into his reign, Celestine issued a decree that Popes could resign, and did so. He was later jailed by the next Pope, Boniface VIII, on fears of an anti-Pope, and died there.
>Gregory XII: 1415. He resigned because Catholicism was going through a political-religious battle between the Italians and the French after the French got a French Pope elected who tried to not go to Italy. This was a period where there were three Popes at once, French, Italian, and Pisan, and so they had a council to try to stop this, even inviting the heretic Jan Huss of Bohemia to the council to ""get his input"", though they executed him for heresy, which was what set off the Hussite Wars
