It has a high gameplay rating because CCG understands that not everyone shares the same beliefs, even within their own religion. There are tons of christians out there who don't give a shit about aliens or sexual content or violence or language, they just don't want to play a game where you kill angels like Bayonetta. There are all levels of adherence and interpretation.

CCG understands that, in order to properly serve its goal of being a quality reviewer for the religious audience, it must be able to accommodate those varying levels of belief. To be honest, the church as a whole is probably far more "modern" than most of society, because the paradigm of our time is that there are many, many different ways to worship a god. They at least understand what it means to be tolerant of others' beliefs.

Frankly, the zealots left church a long time ago and went to /pol/ and tumblr.

ChristianCenteredGaming has an app that notifies them whenever they're mentioned.
They visited a few generals in vg before and have stuck around to speak. They seem like pretty cool people, and I appreciate that they do a separate review of the game focused on the game and not the morality behind it.

You don't seem to be giving game score categories sub 5 scores like you do with morality scores. As a reader it makes my think you're not willing to subjectively critique the game on the same level as you do morality. Why not?

There's nothing wrong with disliking a technical aspect of a game if it does not satisfy your subjective criteria for good. Be bolder with those scores.

A) It's kind of hard to go back and fix with 1700+ reviews
B) The score was originally based on a letter grade system... so it ended up kind of following that percentage. It happened somewhat on accident...

Not sure what a good fix is, especially after so many years.

I am one of the reviewers with CCGR, one hammers are more fun so my bosses don't know how to properly paladin. Two, Despite struggling to start my career, they have treated me much better then other places and they have actually given me hope to eventually make money on my own and get my name out on my own so I don't have to rely on big corporate names.
