I really wanted to like DbD but it's so gay. First of all everyone just goes for points because that's what determines rank so you get people doing weird shit just to farm points. Second it's a try hard competitive game with single use random drops that give you a MASSIVE advantage. Third, the game can come to an actual deadlock over the hatch where one player has to just decide to give up the win to end it. I wanted to like this game dude and to some extent I do like it when I'm playing as Michael Myers and killing people but even then it's just so stupid in some ways that kill the aesthetic. Why does Myers need to put people on hooks he never did that in the movies? Oh because game balance and hackneyed dev decisions that kill the game's aesthetic and are hand waved away by saying "the entity".

Friday the 13th is a shit game too but at least it actually feels like a horror movie.

Not to oppose the artificial hatred that /v/ has for this game, I'm sure the DbD shills have been working overtime to try and convince everyone that it's shit, but I'm still enjoying the fuck out of it. The developers themselves have said that the overwhelming majority of bans are ONLY for people exploiting bugs, and it shows. Every game is still rife with people calling one another niggerfags, and that's fine. But I'm seeing less and less people crouch-exploiting into unreachable parts of the map, and less and less people acting like Jason's little faggot fairy godmother, handwalking him to where every survivor is. The actual quality of the game for people who genuinely want to play it is going up.
