This posting style is super common too. Coming into a series about a vampire hunter you should expect a fair amount dark plot and characters. I mean you are aware that this is based on a more Gothic style right? For fucks sake they are fighting to kill Dracula.

This was my biggest concern going in. Whips just aren't that great of weapons for fights, but they made it work. I especially liked the little side swipe Trevor did when he was fighting Alucard to hit him in the air.

Well, it was childish to the extreme, using profanity as a crutch, and it often got in the way of the actual writing by being punctuation rather than having any meaning.

Characterisation was pretty bad. Trevor Belmont is shown to be aloof and uncaring by literally having him turn away and say "i don't care" so often, it reminded me of Squall's "whatever". Sypha's "did you climb on me" line being levered in as SOON as she is saved, is stupid, and obviously only there to put in some hokey false conflict. Lisa walks into Dracula's castle and says "i want to be a doctor" in her first line, which is fanfiction-tier bad. It's loaded with so many cliches it's boring as hell.
