I liked Half-Life and Sonic Colours.

I don't mind how people choose to live their life or embrace their sexuality, I'm a live and let live kinda guy. What pisses me off are people or groups that get a special preferred kind of treatment just because. I only watched two runs so far.

Luigi's Mansion was pretty good. Runner and couch managed to speak naturally and explain shit well throughout.

I started Tetris then promptly skipped to the KevinDDR part because holy fuck that commentator at the start. Kevin's part was alright though.

As someone who was physically there, thank goodness most of the runs were entertaining. The event was a mess of poor organization, bad scheduling, and sloppy, lazy audio crews.

The 8 hour FFVII run was a beautiful sight to behold, especially after /v/ hyping it up to be some sort of failure. I'd say that, ALTTP and Jedi Outcast were my favorites.

Honestly yeah, most of the week you'll have a couple dozen listless people at most in the crowd at once. It only fills up for the big runs like Super Metroid and Zelda and they feed off each other's hype. I dunno why like 1,600 attend every one of these and it's a ghost town most of the time. From what I heard people actually spend most of the week hanging out with their buddies, drinking, going out to eat, practicing runs, or sometimes just watching the stream in their hotel room with chat for the full experience (GDQ staff trying to control the dumpster fire that is Twitch chat is hilarious). Lots of little cliques too, as it tends to happen, that just roll together and barely ever separate. If most of them aren't interested in something, then none of them will go. You rarely see these more well-known runners just relax and couch for a quiet little 10:00 AM run without "the whole gang" being there. Iceplug, SpikeVegeta, and Skybilz seem to be some of the few who will from what I've seen.
