Stickybomb Launcher in its current state is not overpowered. Anyone who thinks so is bad at the game. Demo is considered a mid-tier class in both competitive 6s and competitive HL.

If Demo had a MIRV instead of a stickybomb launcher, he also wouldn't be capable of cool tricks like pic related. So I'm glad he didn't get the MIRV as a stock, though having it as an unlock would be nice.

Grenade Launcher might be called Demo's primary, but functionally it's actually his secondary, ever since the nerfs it received in TF2's beta to have its clip size reduced from 6 to 4 and its roller damage reduced from 100 to 60.

Grenade Launcher does 100 (direct) or 60 (roller, with splash falloff) damage per projectile shot every 0.6 seconds, with a clip of 4 before having to reload, and it should be noted that its projectile nature caps its effectiveness at range and makes it more difficult to aim than hitscan.

Shotgun does 90-3 damage per hitscan shot every 0.6 seconds, with a clip of 6 before having to reload.

So as you can see, Shotgun and Grenade Launcher are roughly equivalent in strength. There's a reason that Demo's "primary" slot is used for the same utility items as Soldier's secondary slot (e.g. BASE Jumper).

Well yeah, they're pretty much the central core of TF2 balance since they're the biggest group closest to each other balance-wise. Also don't forget Sniper: He goes 50/50 with Demo if he's out of Demo's range.

Yep. That's why in pubs, teams always pick an Engineer on defense, and why in competitive 6s, teams very frequently choose to replace a Soldier or Scout with an Engineer to defend the point (if they've got enough time to set up safely).
Defensive Engineer, given setup time, is a much better class than Soldier or Scout on defense-- his level 3 Sentry is an aimbot which does 578 DPS, and has 215HP which can be healed at a rate of 105HP/s. It forces the enemy to waste a bit more of their Uber than usual taking it down so they can push.

Because Medic is S tier, a team who's actually playing TF2 seriously is always, always, always going to have a Medic, so that's not an issue.
On defense, Heavy has 300HP (450 overhealed), 50-550 DPS, and decent range on a hitscan weapon. He's a little less defensive power than Engie but with more mobility and no setup time required.

Medic is 100% mandatory if you want to win a game of TF2. That means if your team doesn't have a Medic, but the enemy does, you're forced to play him even if you don't enjoy him, because he turns a bad enemy team into a mediocre enemy team who shits on your bad team. That's a problem and sucks the fun right out of the game.

If we nerf Medic so he is less powerful (nerf his healing rate and passive regen a bit, nerf Medics' ability to heal each other, maybe add some sort of ammunition mechanic to the Medigun to reduce its long-term turtling ability, nerf the Crossbow, Vita-Saw, Solemn Vow and Ubersaw, give the Syringe Gun/Blutsauger/Overdose passive reloading to make Medic more enjoyable to play and have more loadout variety) then Medic will be less mandatory to play and more fun to play.

People will no longer be forced to play Medic because he's strong, instead they will want to play Medic because he's more fun.

1: Engineer being UP on offense and OP on defense means that all TF2's symmetrical game modes are stalemate-prone. He can't be used to push to win, but he can be used to stop pushes to win. This means nobody wins the game, and instead there are long, boring periods of waiting.
2: Engineer being UP on offense means that people who main him don't actually get to play him full-time in symmetrical game modes. They only get to play him in defensive situations. It's sort of like being a goalie in soccer: Your friends are down the other end of the field with the ball, and you're the one stuck waiting in the goal square.

I want Engineer to be more like a point guard in basketball, able to be used both on offense and defense.

Sentry Gun is an aimbot with 580DPS (the highest DPS in the game after Knife), 215HP (second highest HP in the game), repair rate of 105HP/sec (Highest heal rate in the game), no falloff, immunity to critical hits, immunity to fire, and perfect accuracy.

And all that is before you count in the Wrangler and the Rescue Ranger. By no means is it weak.

The Sentry is an area denial tool. It's unrealistic for you to expect that an AIMBOT that does all the shooting for you should be more powerful than players who have to AIM their shots, anons.

because pyro was weak against thinking players. But they didn't have to neuter ubers to buff him. They need to buff pyro's capability of doing damage with skill, and not add stuff that fucks with the game.

Please understand, ubers are intentionally overpowered "I win" buttons, because they take a long time to get, and are built for getting through choke points unharmed. Adding in something that nullifies ubers goes against that design, and stagnates the game. It shouldn't be held back by repeatedly hitting RMB.

Extend the flamethrower. Reduce its thickness. That way it would take aim to use properly, and make pyro stronger at medium ranges. Give him a slow firing airblast that can be used like a rocket jump.

Pyro's DPS is inconsistent as fuck. First of all you have to be buttfuck close to the enemy to get close near enough that damage. Second of all his weapon is done via particles which isn't nearly as consistent as hitscan. The draw distance of particles can actually be affected by lag so he can literally get better or worse damage depending on what server your on. And even when everything is working fine, particle effects don't shoot out in a consistent matter so no matter what all those particles aren't always going to hit no matter what. Add the slow as fuck run speed and most intelligent Heavy's can destroy you before you can get close enough to deal that much damage.

There's a reason why people choose Scout over Pyro my man: He's a shitty Scout that replaces mobility with a bit more health and no needing to aim. If you are garbage at the game he's alright but at a certain threshold you'll realize you're gimping yourself as a Pyro.

When you say it's different but can't say how, you might want to realise that in fact, it's not different at all.
Valve don't like stalemates, they never said Engineer was solely designed to cause stalemates (if that was true he wouldn't have teleporters), and stalemates are bad and thus Engineer causing stalemates is bad.

Untrue. Engineer and Heavy's defensive skewing with nothing to counterbalance it is the sole reason that CTF no longer works as a serious game mode.

Random crits are fine. Banning them in competitive makes sense. Removing them from the game universally would be stupid. They're satisfying to land and they're aren't any more annoying to get killed by than by a skilled player. You're just going to respawn in a few seconds. There's nothing on the line.

Random weapon spread I can take or leave. I don't notice much of a difference either way. I don't think I would ever notice if I was fucked by bad spread on my part or if the other guy got a lucky pattern.

BLU and RED are distinct entities in War.

But elements that they gave BLU Soldier and his history(being a licensed attorney, the Jane Doe name, love of wholesale soup, etc.) also belong to the RED Soldier, and red is the default state.

The story also refers to Team Fortress as the Teufort 9, so you can assume that the most basic state of the universe is 9 individuals fighting god knows what until they need the other team, or multiples of various mercenaries.
