I'm okay with pay to play now, since I'm fucking damaged goods thanks to World of Warcraft, but everything I've heard about modern RO sounds like shit. I even saw that they destroyed based Morroc, one of my favorite cities (or the desert next to it, I forget). I never got to the tower with Thanatos either.

I played a private server, I think its name was Clownphobia, and it felt just right; SLIGHTLY better drop rates (I think it was 2x at the time), warps only to major cities but at a cost, and no cash shop bullshit. That's all I wanted; better drop rates and a city warp. I didn't mind wandering aimlessly through maps, but if I just wanted to go back and chill in Prontera, I could in a moment rather than half an hour.

How's Re:Start? Is it good, or is it false hope?

nothing, it had a good run. If you mean the new server then it was the fusion of the worst part of both renewal and classic 1x/1x/1x rates are inexcusable even in the current korean farming simulators
