This. Add to it the fact that Legion is basically a timebomb rigged to explode after Caesar dies, and you have to be an edgy retard to think that it could be considered a valid choice.

Doesn't help that Legion route is probably the worst one from gameplay standpoint too, too few missions and they aren't that special.

1. We never see Legion towns, but I assume that they rarely see raiders or any kind of fighting, that people are left to their own devices and just have to pay tax to caesar and pledge their alleigence to him.

2. Caeser recognises that a lot of the things he does are brutal and "wrong", but he knows that in a brutal world the most brutal one wins. He realises that he must become top dog in order to change the wasteland for the better, and that involves a lot of killing and slaving.

3. The legion showcases it's superiority of a collectivist society over an individualised society. IN nipton, with the unreleased commentary by vulpes, he says that nobody tried to revolt, or tried to help their friends and family escape, they only cared about themselves, they only lived for their petty selves. The legion recognises that in the grand scheme, men are not important, but ideas are, and his men are the ones who will carry his ideas to a new, glorious age
