My biggest issue with it is how luck based it is. Sure, there's optimal strats and tactics you can make, but at the end of the day if you get a bad circle spawn you're fucked in 90% of cases and there's nothing you can do about it.

In pretty much all tournaments, the winners are the team that got the final circles spawning on top of them. The 3rd person camera automatically gives a huge advantage to stationary players as you can stay completely in cover and still see everything

Simple, have the circle reach a certain size (roughly one about 200^2 metres, the size of the last 4th or 3rd last circle) and induce a static timer of 5 minutes.

When the time runs out, all teams/players are killed/draw gaining points equivalent amount of teams/players left. This still forces players to try and hunt and kill else they gain pittance but gives players a much larger area to try and out manoeuvrer your opponent.

It's not perfect, but it would be way better than the current system.

I disagree. While it's not uncommon for most players to land where the initial circle will be, it's not impossible (or even hard for that matter) for players to simply run/drive to the first/second zones.

I enjoy the game. I've won some matches, lost even more, and most of the """arguments""" in this thread are obviously made by those who've yet to play it, or haven't taken the time to learn meta. Decent gunplay/ballistics for the weapons

Pretty good weapon variety and customization with the attachments

You have to choose a good balance between playing smart and aggressive

Matches don't take that long so you can squeeze which is good for people with a job

The issue isn't the first or second zones, it's the final ones. The amount of games I've watched conclude because one team/player was forced to move from bad circle spawns and get basically firing squaded is heinous.

The defensive advantages massively outweigh the offensive ones, plenty of high ranking players have brought this up and actively depend on it. Ultimately it's not the 3rd person camera that's the issue, it's the situations that the game forces on players that makes in an issue.

Ehh, I can understand the appeal, the game's not amazing, but it's easily the most polished early access battle royale game.
The movement isn't complete trash, animations range from mediocre to good, the gunplay is satisfying, indoor areas actually feel like houses that someone would live in, and outside of optimization, it's pretty decent.
Nothing amazing or revolutionary, but it's got a level of polish that these games typically don't have.
