It's an indie dungeon crawler 23 years in development, delayed countless times, dismissed as vaporware by many. The dev Clive Blakemore (who created the whole game with help from his son) is mentally-ill - he literally thinks he's a throwback to a mentally and morally superior race of neanderthals. It was meant to be finally released on Steam on the 7th, only for Clive to once again delay it for an unspecified amount of time, supposedly because he'd found a bug.

You don't really know what has been going on for last 20 years. Cleve is a narcissist or something, he enjoys the attention. Putting pressure doesn't really work because he just manufactures new reasons to get more attention. You haven't been on rpg codex threads? Now that he's on Steam though, we have a legal reason to get the store reported. He already stole 16k from the recent Indiegogo campaign.

Dev is power posting and creating viral threads like 13 hours a day on the following sites (while he claims that he is fixing "bugs")

Steam forums -> each post you make will have a reply of him within 1 hour
4chan -> viral posting ("How does he do it", Neanderthal posting, unironically praising the game)
reddit -> paid mods to artifically keep threads alive (sometimes cross-viral posting on other subs from the Dev)
Neogaf -> Same shit pretty much as above
RPGcodex -> viral posting on throw away accounts and sperging out to anyone who critizes the delay on his main acc


So why does he keep claiming that he is working on the game when there is PROOF that he is actually not? Only uninformed sheeps will believe him at this point. I currently believe that there was never a game to begin with and
that it's all just a really elaborate ruse which would actually gain him some streed cred at least

Start with Grimrock, it's easier to get into. W8 is great too but it can be sloow and of course will get some time to get into old school graphics as well. I'm actually in the same exact position. I made a party in W8 but not sure if I should just continue with Grimrock..
