What are your thoughts on QTE? Do you think it cheapens the gameplay or is it a nice addition? Is a game heavily based on QTE be fun or how much QTE should be acceptable?
Are there games where they did QTE right?

Shadow of Morder made qtes very badly
the qtes in Yakuza 0 are well done since its only there to boost an attack, for stage transitions or to give an opportunity to deal in a short time more damage.

>tfw FFVII remake have QTEs
>>383501521
to be fair 8 had QTE limits so it wouldn't be the first time

i hope that they don't replce the fight against Sephiroth with qte only shit
>>383501842
ayy that would be fine though
>people still confusing button prompts as QTEs
>>383501521
the original has qtes as well. people like to forget that and pretend it has no flaws

Yak0 is a good example of good timing for QTE, they don't interrupt your game and is optional if you want to see more action and deal some extra damage.

Sonic Unleashed is the only game with good QTEs and even then only in the day stages. They work because Sonic is all about going fast and when you pull off a QTE you feel like you have fast reflexes and feel fast.
I enjoyed all of Asura's Wrath, great movie.

Cutscene QTEs are nonsense. In combat QTEs are fine as long as they're not the entire fight.
>only qte move can deal damage
>fight only progresses when you successfully do qte at certain levels of hp UNLESS it's a finisher
If they're split second dodges and charge up attacks that are otherwise always available then it's all good.
