Typically only work 7 hour shifts, have cheap apartment and a fiancee who makes more money and has more hours than me but still loves vidya and we both have the same off days. I work from 0730 to 1530, then I eat dinner. I usually play vidya until 1800 then I head out to bike, hike or the gym.
I come home 1900, shower and eat, then I can do whatever I want until 2230 or so.

My man, I was a full time college student, with a full time job, with a daily commute of roughly 2 hours, with a girlfriend, a bustling social life, while being a "hardcore gamer" and a reliable friend. Most people spend a ton of time browsing shit like 4chan when they can be doing anything else.

That's how you find time. Personally, I just carved an hour or so out of my sleep time to chip away at games like Dark Souls II. I also cleared a chunk of my entire 3DS/Vita library while commuting.
