why can't they just make good racing games? it's too easy. nsf Is garbage now from running the same trope for a decade and burnout is dead. there really isn't anything now but simcades and realistic car games on steam. it sucks that racing games turned into a niche genre.

The only good Burnout games are Burnout 2 and Burnout Paradise.

Everything else fucking sucks because of casual shit like traffic checking, a boost bar you can use at ANY time (speed class or fuck off) and shitty EA TRAX bullshit.

Burnout 1 just feels a bit soulless.

They couldn't afford licensed music I'm assuming back then, so they composed their own, the benefit to that is the music completely changes when you get boost instead of just increasing the volume like in modern Burnouts.
