It launched early on in the Vita's life before the system started selling poorly. They probably wanted to put a big get on the system to get it juiced up a bit and moving units. I own a Vita and a couple dozen games I really enjoy. If you hate the handheld just buy a PSTV and play it with a PS3 controller. A few months ago when Walmart was clearing its Vita stock I got one of the bundles that came with a PSTV, 8 GB memory card, and a Dualshock 3, all for $30. Check eBay. It's a great system with lots of great games, though if you don't like Japanese titles you will almost certainly not enjoy it.

In the US, almost no one has it and has the 3DS instead. Over at Japan, its the complete opposite.

While Sony of America (and maybe Europe?) gave up on the Vita, its still alive in Japan and even has some special edition system.

I Impulse purchased my Vita back in like 2012 I bought a WiiU, Vita, and original 3DS before the price drop this gen. I've learned a valuable lesson about early adoption this generation but thats besides the point.
I hated the thing at first and now I like it ok but I don't really know what to do with it a lot of the time. The exclusives that are there and I know about are pretty nice, and I don't have a PS3 or PS4 so it gives me access to a bunch of games I wouldn't otherwise. My biggest problem is I feel like I have no reliable way of finding out about Vita games, especially a lot of the multiplats/ports because they dont count for console war cancer

People who like handhelds, and people who bought a PSTV for $20. If you didn't buy a PSTV when it was on sale you're missing out.

Also, I wouldn't expect it to be exclusive to the Vita forever. Atlus at the end of the day is a third party company. There's no such thing as a third party exclusive.

And you pretty much need to play with direct party control, because P3P removed most of the A.I options. You only have the most basic commands, making them essentially useless without party control compared to the PS2 version. At least for Maniac, I didn't play it on any other difficulty.
On the flip side, Margaret was a welcome cameo and this was the only time Margaret was a challenging super boss. She was far too easy in P4. Especially Golden, where Rise gives you all those boosts.

I'd be fine with it being more complex, honestly the main thing I didn't like was the "vague" answer category since that was so well, vague. Having everything be "Nice/funny/serious/vague" only really helped like maybe 3/4 of the time at best.

Man am I glad the P4 craze is over and the P5 craze can begin. It's pretty fucking sad when out of all the side content/updates they've put out for P4 over the past nine years that the best side story is the fucking dancing game.
