When I deployed on the default helicopter point selected for the mission, discovered that the tanks were closer to their destination that I was, and I couldn't win a race two tanks with a head start to their destination, and resetting the mission put me back in the 3 minute helicopter ride to drop me off at the same point where it's hopeless to ride my horse to try to race the tanks again.

No they don't. Different spread amounts, recoil management, effective ranges, and so on.

Past the rifles effective range you need to compensate for bullet drop, this is true for all of the guns in the game. Sniper rifles just have longer effective ranges, but you still need to compensate past about 200 meters.

Compared to having a consumable that you could just restock up on before the mission or call in mid mission? Regenerating health works just fine for the game.

Literally every stealth game becomes "easy" once you understand the mechanics and how the AI works. As far as reflex mode, that can be turned off.

Enemies with NVGs that can see you at night, enemies with gas masks that aren't effected by smoke or sleep grenades, enemies with full body armor that can't be headshot and require CQC/a lot of rounds to take them down. Walker Gears, Helecopters, and APC's. But no, absolutely no enemy variation.

Open world didn't do the game that many favors, and Camp Omega remains the best location to infiltrate in MGSV, but the locations in TPP are still pretty good. Nova Braga and the Soviet Base being two standouts.

It's a shame the level design didn't have the same effort put into it as the gameplay.
The only places that feel like they have actuall care and attention put into them are Braga airport, Code Talkers mansion and OKB Zero.

It's horribly balanced regardless of its "optionality". The penalty for using it is so minimal it might as well not be there, it can be used from the very first mission, consumes no resources and can be exploited to hell and back.
It should've been a Rank-A only, or remove it and just keep acceleramin.

The controls are the opposite of tight. Snake's turn radius is a fucking joke, especially compared to the older MGS games where Snake turns on a dime. It's also irritating to put crouch and prone on the same button. Holding a guy hostage is also weird where sometimes you need to keep the button held and other times you don't.

What people are confusing with controls is game feel. Snake has a lot of great animations and sound effects that make your actions feel good, but the controls are average at best.

The ending was a fucking joke. It's 5 minutes of good content stretched out for half an hour with endless exposition. 4 is a fucking disaster.
