The Smackdown series was cool at first, because they were using several new concepts in sports entertainment. When it stopped being innovative, and even started withdrawing features, everyone started becoming angry. So angry, that the series name was changed and it was recycled as the 2K series. Which has great wrestlers locked behind overpriced DLC and season passes.
