Yes it's worth it, there's also some great RPGs if you're into them.

Rune Factory 4, Etrian Odyssey Series, SMTIV/A, Fire Emblem, and Pokemon to name a few.

Dragon Quest is more of a classical experience, it's kind of unique in this day and age of neptunias and panty quests with over the top mechanics.

I've played most of these and I keep waiting for new and fun games to come out for 3ds but there's nothing.

DQ8 was a nice addition though. My favorite games are still rune factory 4, did they ever update the series?
