I wouldn't mute the music in the character bio menu, thunder road, casino, firefield and the campaign missions.
I was pretty let down by a lot of the actual in-game track music in GX, still listen go back to X just to listen to the music rather regularly.

Was an in-game track i did really enjoy though and play that mission just to experience it when i feel like it.
>Muting games
Literally every game should be in here except for specific situations like grinding in RPGs or I guess multiplayer games after you've played a shitload of it

Why would you ever play a game muted? The audio cues are generally quite important and necessary. Unless you are playing a turn-based RPG where choices in combat really don't matter, not hearing an audio cue is going to result in getting hit or missing an enemy invulnerability when you should've expected it.

Training visual awareness in quake has people playing without sound some time.
Some games benefit your concentration without blaring music in your face, but toning it down is often enough.
