Seriously, why do you guys think it is better? It is a 64 2.0.
Almost everything is better in it. Combat is more fleshed out, it rewards more skill than the first one. The story is less generic RPG shit than the first.
Most characters are more entertaining, I'm not talking about the partners, but in general.

I love Paper Mario a lot, but TTYD just feels better to me.

Can people defend it without basing their decision on nostalgia?
