It's not new content. It's content from a version that only was released in Japan and never ported overseas because nobody liked Final Fantasy XII.

That version fixed all the fucking problems the original FFXII had, so it's a shame.

Just to clarify. I've seen so many people thinking Square Enix made all those changes just for the remaster.
