If you think the anarchs are presented positively, it's because you probably sympathise with them. They can just as easily come off as pretentious and hypocritical, as Tung highlights. They like to talk about an equal society, but they'll be dicking each other the moment there's an ounce of power to be had, as he says. The anarchs have good people around whom the faction is built around, like nines, it's not all hypocrites. The Camarilla also has good people like Tung, and shitstains like LaCroix that represent the status quo bureaucracy. Both factions have their good and bad, and you can call them out on anything you have a problem with.

If anything, it's the Sabbat that should be complaining about negative depiction, considering their goal is to stop the apocalypse that the camarilla hides.

The NPCs in the game repeatedly tell you that having a silver tongue won't get you anywhere if you're staring down the barrel of the gun. But let's pretend that never happened, and it is the devs' fault that the game doesn't allow you to talk your way out of the monster engagements. So it's not like half of the game robs you of your roleplaying ability. You can't claim "haha not an RPG lol" when the majority of the game is an "RPG lol". I guess this might be my own opinion, but having a hard time with the end levels doesn't rob me of the fun I've had all the time before, so I can't in any way support the statement that the whole game is "not an RPG lol" because the ending levels force you to fight. Keep in mind that even now we're working on the assumption that the devs fucked up and not the player for heeding advice throughout the game.

The anarchs are pretty much a mish-mash of anti-government lonerfags all throughout the game, often who are hypocritical and don't understand the gravity of their vampirism. Nines is arguably the only good anarch in terms of morality, given that he's pretty much a hardcore libertarian that's just looking out for the individual interests of the kindred, even though he is deeply blinded by his fear of an elite forming. If we excluse Isaac Abrams and his childer being anarchs by pure circumstance, then you only have Jack, Skelter, Damsel, and (optionally) Jeanette left. Jack is a psychotic barbarian and arguably the real villain of the game. Skelter is a "muh gov betrayed me" 'Nam vet who would easily be sympathetic if he wasn't an ignorant jarhead. Damsel is portrayed accurately as the annoying flower-child cunt you'd run into in college and high-school who has no idea what the fuck she is talking about, and is only into anarchy for the good times. Jeanette, if she joins the anarchs later in the game, was already just as bad of a person as Therese was, given that she's a manipulative and destructive bitch.

It's a system that heavily prioritizes storytelling over rules, so you're not required to know all the massive amounts of lore WoD has to have a good time. It does have a metric fuckton of rules and is pretty number-heavy, but...

never fight zombies in the middle, only zombies near the gates, every zombie you kill spawns another one somewhere randomly, so killin the middle ones can make them spawn at the gates. Also, use your combat disciplines, celerty works wonders here, melee 3-4 zombies at one gate, quickly go to the other one, rinse and repeat. Staying in one spot during that quest = failure.

I only have two clear memories of the multiplayer. One was literally 16 years ago when I saw my cousin and his friend playing it. The other memory is the handful of pages on Planet Vampire that mentioned mods and organised events about 10 years ago.
