Do you listen to game music on your phone, anons?
>>383474159
Yes I do, David Wise and Martin O' Donnel happen to be very talented real composers, along with most video game music writers, and it's a shame the image of their music is looked down on just because it's been in a video game.

Fpbp
Yes. Not so much the traditional vidya music anymore. This ost is 5 hours long.
get some taste OP, that song is cringe as fuck
>>383475325
>another wub wub generation beta child
it's time for you to leave.
>>383474159
Yes, but not something from fucking mario games. It's to shitty.
VG music in general is the only kind I like. Yeah I know it's weird.
I've been listening to the MGSV OST lately. It has some good stuff. Plus you can't go wrong with Witcher 3.
>>383474159
the proper song name is "Jump Up, Super Star!", OP
>>383475387
man, you're the one that listen to whaoo whaoo bing *1up* songs, you don't have the right to call people beta child. Get some good taste instead of jumping on the new ebin trend you dumb fuck.
>>383475387
If he doesn't like what you like, he is automatically
>another wub wub generation beta child
On a additional note, that song is bad, and the name is wrong.
>get some taste OP, that song is cringe as fuck
the best vidya music is the one you can't distinguish from normal music
>>383475419
This and starbound soundtrack are the best so far for me.
>Dark souls soundtrack for pure edginess
>>383474647
I wonder why video game music composers are overlooked, meanwhile movie music composers are praised and sometimes not even good...
>>383475667
People still don't want to believe that a lot of the time as much effort goes into a video game as does a movie.
>>383474159
All the time
I never enjoyed actual music
>>383475728
if only they would know that the soundtrack making for MGS V took more resources than the game itself
>irony
but in all seriousness I remember Kojima by Kojima having massive issues for the soundtrack which ended up really good
>>383475839
Same for the most part but thankfully I do enjoy classical so thats my go to when people ask what I'm listening to, even if its the Nier OST.
>>383474159
a few soundtracks. not many because listening to vidya music is usually autistic
katamari damacy jet set radio future super mario 64 and hotline miami are the only soundtracks on my phone
>>383476167
>listening to vidya music is usually autistic
>listens to katamari damacy soundtrack
my fucking sides
Yes I do, but I balance it out betweenrealmusic and the occasional video game soundtrack.
>all these normalfags
>vocals in vidya music
>generic orchestral shit
And this is why videogame music is dead
>>383475540
>>383475558
>wub wub beta children so triggered
guess i hit the target.
Is someone mocking the Katamari Damacy soundtrack in this thread?
>>383475667
>>383475728
Film soundtracks are complete shit as of lately because everyone wants to be boring and trite Hans Zimmer, and a lot of classic soundtracks that people love copied parts from classical pieces. Not to mention that a lot of films have licensed music in them and less original compositions.

shibuya kei is quality music, fag
>>383476313
(You)
I do not understand listening only to vidya music
When you ask someone what music he likes and he says "vidya music" he might just as well say "any music whatsoever I guess", cause the genres vary so wildly
>>383476379
I prefer latino music, double fag

There's two games that I've enjoyed the music enough to get the soundtrack for; Scott Pilgrim vs the World: The Game and MGS:V. Scott Pilgrim was the first time I enjoyed chiptune music and got me into Anamanaguchi for a while. MGS:V's music tapes got into my head like nothing else and the songs featured on them were all I listened to for a few months after release.
Always listening to thousands of game or weeb tracks from over the years, always worried about earphones coming loose or being too loud
This game has really good shit. I often listen to this soundtrack.

I never mention that I listen to vidya OSTs as I feel that everyone would see me as autistic weirdo, more so if they haven't already.
I listen to podcasts since I'm a shut-in that can't handle not hearing conversation or discussion even of I'm not a part of it
I listen to theInitial DOST while driving.
Speaking of Katamari. I will suck dick of person that recommends similar "normal" music to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Qfm2WRY8Us
>>383474159
the auto-tune ruins it
>>383477105
no singer, but Casiopea, a fusion jazz japanese group.

Maybe I'm retarded but that does not sound similar at all. I'm looking for more energetic bossa nova like with chill female vocals (good male one will probably do a trick too)
>>383474159
Literally bing bing wahoo *1UP* ..... jesus
>>383475405
I think video game music mashed up with rap makes it sound a lot better, it gives it instrumentation instead of just a simple shitty beat.

(my favorite one was "Hydrofunk" by Rakohus but he took it down and I can't find it.)
>>383474159
Yeah, that song included.
