What is the ideal gaming monitor size?
21" CRT.
>>383471664
22 or 24 inch
27" 1440p
24
24 inch 120hz 1080p
Depends on distance, but 24" 1080p, 27" 1440p, to appreciate 2160p, I probably wouldn't use anything less than 34"
>>383471664
22-32
24" and 27" are both acceptable.
24 - 27 inch, 1440p 144hz.
>>383471664
6.2"
wow we actually agreed on somthing, well done /v/
The 2k 24 inch dell 165hz monitor is the best on the market. The fags in here that are shilling 27 inch are the people who accidentally bought the 27 inch version.
whatever fills you field of view from your seat
24''~27''

Good taste.

I just got this, I don't think I've played any games that aren't 4:3 yet on it though, maybe will set up Symphonia or Berseria but getting the controller set up is always a pain.
49" 4k 60 hz here. Best for immersion imo
does 4k make a difference at 24"?
do we really need more than 1080p for 24"?

I am using a low tier dell monitor for my RX 480. I am, experiencing alot of screen tearing. What's the best monitor under $200 that I can buy to game without screen tearing?
>>383472815
If you believe in the Retina meme it does.
What it should be is a room. Entirely dedicated to gaming. Fuck it a warehouse. You're in a warehouse and that's your monitor.
>>383471701
fpbp
what do you mean by "gaming" OP
>>383472815
some would say 27" is when you start to see actual benefits of 4k, 30" for sure
1080p is fine for 24"
>>383473181
i mean when niggers run a train on your mom
27 inch LED 1440p
I put it next to my old monitor and it's amazing how grey the blacks looked in comparison, it's like getting glasses for the first time.
50"
I can see forever from here.
Is it worth trying for 120hz if you have a1060
>>383471841
> get a 1440p monitor
> every movie is 1080p
> forced to non integer upscale forever
> new blu ray standard is 4K
> forced to non integer downscale forever
Painful
I was thinking of buying a 27" 1440p, but I could get some 32" or 40" 4k televisions instead and use them as a monitor.
Has anyone tried using a big 4k tv as a monitor? Is it more immersive?
P.S: I don't care about the 144hz meme/marketing gimmick. I will be fine with 60hz.
>>383473079
vsynce exiests
>>383473501
>I could get some 32" or 40" 4k televisions
Enjoy that 1000ms lag
55" 4K HDR for console or 24"-27" for PC.
>>383473552
> copious ammounts of latency
Who in their right mind would use that
>>383473079
Try searching for the cheapest freesync monitor. there are a few bellow $200
>>383473364
>Gaming
>Talks about movies
What could he possibly mean by this?
>>383473559
Only get Samsung top end models or lg 2017 oled tvs for 20ms input lag which is good. Otherwise buy a monitor for 9ms average input lag.
>>383473629
> i don't watch any other type of media and only play games on my monitor
k
Who /1440p144hz/ here?
>>383473697
>doesn't own a tv for that shit
poorfag detected
>>383473697
>Not having a TV for that sole purpose
The question remains, what did he mean with this?
>>383473728
Mah ningen
>>383473697
That's why I have a 4k TV as well
>>383473737
>>383473771
> having multiple mediocre options instead of a single good one
That's like buying a console for gaming and a pc for "work"
>>383473361
yes it makes everything smoother from the os ui to 30fps games 120hz is real bang for your buck its essential for me i use a 120hz monitor now doesnt matter if a gpu cant deliver 120fps its strongly reccomended you get 120hz,
Bought a 28" recently and I think it's a bit too large. Think I'd actually prefer a 22-24
>>383473836
>using one mediocre option instead of two good ones
ftfy
>>383473836
>Multiple "mediocre" options
>Implying I use mediocre options
Stop trying to win this argument so hard.
>>383473867
Do you have any suggestions?
>P.S: I don't care about the 144hz meme/marketing gimmick. I will be fine with 60hz.
>falls for 4k meme gimmick
>>383473930
benq
>>383473908
Do you sit close to the monitor?
>>383473930
you need the pixel to be as dense as possible so get 24inch 120
>monitor, why would people want to streach the space between pixels by opting for 27 inch the thought that people on this board right now, actually buy that sickens me
>>383474601
Maybe like 40-50cm between me and the monitor
I have an HDTV with 13.5 ms leo bodnar tested input lag. Do you think it will make a difference if I get a monitor with 1ms input lag?
>>383474183
>only 144hz
lmao
>>383471664
1680 by 1050
>>383474991
in 2005 maybe
