tell me some good text based games, something like corruption of champions but not sexually oriented
>>383471283
Good question, i'd like to know too.
>something like corruption of champions but not sexually oriented
Imagine going back in time and telling the creators of Zork or Colossal Cave Adventure that this would be the fate of their genre. Jesus Christ.
http://vsrecommendedgames.wikia.com/wiki/Interactive_Fiction
Zork is actually still pretty cool, but its nothing like CoC with levels or anything.
Dunno many other text based games really.

king of dragon pass
>>383471485
yea it is depressing a bit, i never found any games like that but i liked the amount of content CoC had, it doesnt have graphics but you can still imagine what the fuck is going on
>>383471720
>12$ on steam
this guy really values his game
>>383471283
Free Cities and Night Games are the first ones that come to mind. Even though /v/ may tell you its shit, Slablands also actually had more content than I originally expected.
>>383471874
>Free Cities
>Night Games
>Slablands
>not sexually oriented
>>383471874
Oh wait, you wanted non-sexually oriented. In that case Zork is the place to start, as >>383471565 said
>>383471735
>i liked the amount of content CoC had
What content? That awful combat system? Or walking five feet and encoutering a fucking random snowflake horsecocked furry character who has barely any connection to the world?
Corruption of Champions is the No Man's Sky of interactive fiction.

Don't be rude anon.
He probably just saw the picture and saw
>tell me some good text based games
The correct protocol in this case is
>you're a faggit
>>383471989
That's the opposite of No Man's Sky, anon
>>383471989
you are telling me games like that have much more content than coc?
>>383472106
I don't know if a dozen different ways to write "and then he took it up the ass" or reskinned fights are content.
anyways go to >>>/wsr/
>>383471987
The whole trilogy actually fits in a flash file too

MUDs can be pretty interesting, depending on your tolerance for clunkiness and your preference for online games. Best part is that there's a fucking DICKLOAD of them, so chances are you can find something that seems worth your time.
>>383471989
>Corruption of Champions is the No Man's Sky of interactive fiction.
That's a retarded comparison.
No Man's sky didn't have enough content to fill up its massive gaping void. CoC has plenty of content for what it is, it's just that a lot of it is catering to shit-tier fetishes. That's not the same thing.
>>383471283
>something like corruption of champions but not sexually oriented
Almost impossible since the selling point of CoC is TF and see how that new body of yours works in sex
You might want some classic text adventure game like Horse Master
>>383472293
thats what i mean, a text adventure. its that feeling of like reading a book and writing it at the same time
>>383472586
Is CYOA stuff fine too or do you want a proper text adventure?
>>383472635
i do not know what CYOA is
>>383472707
Choose Your Own Adventure.
It's basically a novel except at the end of each paragraph of text you get presented with a choice that changes the direction of the story. It's an old concept but there are lots of videogames that use the same style.
>>383472586
>reading a book and writing it at the same time
I don't know how you got that feeling when you play CoC. Like you might get alternative routes/multiple endings but the characters are all the same. It's not writing, it's making different choices.
If you want something like that then play visual novels.
>>383472707
>>383472842
Picture related, it's from one of the many CYOA games on Steam.
Most of them are overpriced IMO, but if you can get them bundled or just pirate them they're pretty fun.
>>383472842
yes, im interested in that too, im interested in any text based, adventure, rpg game
>>383472874
sure, thats true, but i still cant shake the feeling of it
>>383472842
>>383473030
Oh, i though you talked about that one fetish site where moist old woman present their incest fantasies.
I didn't know it was an actual genre and not just smut.
80 Days, it's based on the Jules Verne novel. It's CYOA with a bit of resource management thrown in

Sorcery! and its NG+.
