The new gaming mode really helps with performance. It reduces the GPU memory consumption of the other programs so the game can use it. Also the same tool can record your games and it very light in resources too.

Overwall Windows 10 is great. There are some issues, but if you are half decent with computers you can solve it in a few minutes and it won't bother you later.

It's much less stable than 7. File explorer crashes at random times. Start menu crashes from time to time. Clock doesn't update as it should after startup (online sync) and displays time -2h and requires manual sync.

Not to mention W10 is rolling release. Once a year there's new build that fucks up even more stuff. Last time it borked my nVidia drivers. After each start-up, log-in, log-out or resolution change my screen was black and only turning off display and back on fixed the issue. I rolled back and installed new build one month later, same shit. They have eventually fixed it a few months later.

W10 feels like constant beta test while W7 was rock solid.
