let's fix the genre:

- no crafting
- no collectathon goal
- more than five unique enemy types, with their own attack patterns and such
- enemies actually interact with the environment (such as using a health station if they are injured, locking doors to rooms they enter, drinking alcohol left out, watching TV, etc)
- some level of NPC interaction (for example, being able to talk to enemies in some way or being able to manipulate them)
- being outside too long means death (say acid rain or radiation or something), in order to encourage sticking near places NPCs are in (and thus, minimizing situations where the player might go a long time without any NPC interaction which is boring)
- good music and atmospheric sound tracks
- no "abandoned hospital" type setpiece

point is to not be dayz or slender
