if the game isnt balanced you will see an influx of players using the exact same bullshit in pvp, look at straight swords and dark straight sword spammers in das3 on release, it makes pvp less interesting even if you are into invasions. i think making everything viable increases "fun" so might as well make as many things broken and different as possible.

Just look at how magic and build variety in general might as well not exist in Dark Souls 3.
Look at how with every release after Demon's Souls invasions were stripped down to appease duelfags and people who couldn't handle serious consequences for being able to summon help.

Souls games should never had have an avenue for "fair" pvp in the first place. It makes no sense in a game where nearly every attack is reactable.
