The guns in KF1 felt much more powerful, it's like you could feel the recoil.

KF2 still has pretty good "gun feel", it's just that despite not liking KF1 as a game all that much, I think it has the best recoil effects of any arcadey video game. It's a combination of sound, animation and that subtle screen shake when firing.

Dunno about the actual gameplay, though.

Maybe they've said it's an issue already making me about to sound dumb, but I think it might be working as intended. Whenever I came out of Zedtime while reloading I'd reload ridiculously fast compared to normal, which makes me think that's what it's actually for. Besides, it'd be kinda weird to have a final perk negate the bonus entirely by giving you normal reload speed anyway, but maybe another perk does it too and I forgot.

KF2 is held back by zeds literally spawning in your direct LOS, welded doors not fucking mattering, Patty being stupidly hard on Sui, such that me and my 2 friends all level 15+ can't beat him but otherwise breeze through, elite zeds, gorefiends entirely replacing gorefasts on Sui and mostly lacking in the charm of the first one.

Looking up the stats, the stalker teleportation cooldown is 5 seconds as opposed to other teleport capable zeds at 7 seconds, probably enough to make a moderate difference if you're kiting and breaking line of sight a lot.

However! She is also always capable of teleporting until she's the last zed remaining, whereas all the others stop being able to teleport when there's 12 or less zeds remaining. Interesting to know.

Looking this up also reminded me you can stop stuff from teleporting by "looking" at them through walls and objects, so while kiting you should periodically look behind you to reset the teleport timers of any zeds following you, even if they're still around the last corner.

Totally forgot that since it's been a while since I needed to clear an HoE wave solo. Was a lot more useful when you needed to make sure SCs/FPs wouldn't teleport in front of you, also.

Winchester's damage is insane right now though. 1-shots anything below Gorefast even with a bodyshot and can still decap Bloats/Sirens/Gorefiends with two shots. Plus the last reload speed buff + bash cancels means you can near-instantly reload single rounds.
If you need anything other than Winchester for trash clearing on Sharp you really need to git gud.

Which was the case in KF1 where all the enemies barely bobbled their heads around like they do in KF2, but the thing with doing that with SC and FP is that you're still going to aggro them and make them fuck your shit up. While I'm still comparing the two games, did they seriously downgrade the double barrel because I remember it being one of the best Scrake killers in KF1 while in KF2 whenever I shit down their throat with it they just kinda tank the shot.

That's a huge meme, dude. Every perk is designed to holds its own well from close. Having someone watching your back is not something you can count on in a pub. Even if you play with an experienced team, there will be many times when your "helper" will have to get off you for whatever reason

Ideas of "defend the demo" and such only last until shit hits the fan and a particularly nasty spawn has everyone scrambling to avoid 3 FPs and a Scrake. Medic is expected to heal well because it's so easy to land darts, all other sorts of consistent "supportive kills" to help Demo and Sharp aren't

I remember complaining about the same thing too back in Early Access. Apparently the solution was to move everything but the Sell Button over to the other side, which is the complete opposite of what I expected them to do.

Level up, he gets really OP as he gets perks.
Practice head shots and parrying. For head shots you need to aim differently depending on the angle of your attack.
If you have a medic try to tank the FPs and SCs MMO style

Berserker is possibly the best perk, he can do everything well. Kill big guys well, kill trash and ascended trash (Husk/Siren/Gorefiend) well, handles the boss better than anyone else. Plus damage resistance and good healing perks/the 175HP perk

His only real problem are Crawlers and Bloats (if you're a Evis Zerk, not even Bloats are an issue), and after a few hundred hours you become a natural at killing Crawlers with melee weapons. Bloat remains annoying though, his puke's range is incredibly deceptive, and he seems to puke headless sometimes (i.e. you decap but he continues the animation)

Sure, but HoE in the later waves often sees multiple Fleshpounds and Scrakes spawning at once. There's absolutely no way anyone can hold all of them back long enough for the Sharp to take them down, unless you have a Zerker ready to parry and hold their ground, not letting the big zeds get any closer to your team and giving your team space to take them down or focus on not getting overwhelmed by trash.

Yeah, Fleshpounds is my point. While the Sharp is dealing with the Scrakes, even as fast as it may be, the FP's timer for raging is ticking down. You need someone to tank the hit and get him out of rage, or prevent rage at all in the first place. A Demo doesn't suffice because he doesn't kill them fast enough, not at least if you have two FPs, or the well-known triple FP spawn.

Even on Suicidal you sometimes get fleshpounds spawning in raged.

You can try to get right on his way, block his path entirely if possible, and draw aggro on you. But if RNG isn't with you and the FP is hellbent on attacking a teammate, there's really nothing you can do there. Just keep trying to have the zed focus on you.

It can be done, but rather than parrying you need to get its aggro (that is, damage it significantly). Otherwise it will ignore you to go for whoever it was going for

I'm fairly sure there's a heavy amount of randomness to who enraged monsters attack. I've seen Hans ignore people literally feet away from and sprint 10 times the distance to initiate melee on someone else

I'm not even sure if heavy DPS output guarantees aggro on you. Who's never seen a Patty brush off the Zerk, waddle a few feet and use the minigun on people far away?

They probably added this in order not to make soloing big guys completely braindead. This way, things can go off script, as it were

Yeah I used to parry tank as Zerk back in early access. My group could consistently beat HoE as long as one of us parry the big zeds.
Now that they nerfed Zwei poke, whats the best zerk weapon to tank with and to handle big guys? Pulverizor's blunt damage as well as pre-nerf Smash perk with chance to knock down was amazing against everything

Pulv is still great, Eviscerator was buffed into being great. They have a mace and shield that's probably the best weapon for trash clearing (huge sweeping attacks, stun, knockdown) but not good for dealing with big guys

They should turn him into the KF1 class. Have him run faster with the knife out. Have every weapon have fun KF1 attributes if a Survivalist is wielding them (i.e. Double-barrel becomes stronger but you can't alt-fire jump). Figure a way to make this work, such as having more expensive ammo or lower Dosh per kill. If you're gonna make a simple stat tweaking perk with no new weapons, at least get creative about it

Still, he has no niche, and his "OP" specs are much better done by the perks themselves. A Demo can get much more mileage out of an explosive build, a SS much more out of a Railgun build, etc.

nah, it should be about weapon swapping if it has access to everything. Like, get a melee kill, get an explosive damage boost and increased weapon swap speed or when you swap weapons you get some passive bonus to headshot damage.

i was late to the party with kf1. i see people say the guns felt more powerful, but i didn't get that impression at all. guns don't feel good and the game is dated in an unfun way.
