In a cozy mood waiting for monsoons to start.
What are some games with a lot of rain?
Post cozy rain pics from games.
>>383419323
no need to be so mean.
I just wanna play games with a lot of rain.
rain world has rain in the name
Awwww fuck yeah LOVE this
Don't have anything but have a free bump
idk what this is from but i like this gif
Don't respond to it, just ignore and report it
Euro Truck Sim 2 has some of my favorite rain, the fact that the windshield wipers work tickles me
theHunter: Call of the Wild is fucking excellent for rainy weather
Course that game is maximum outdoors kino anyway, absolutely gorgeous nature
SPIKE DIES!
Persona 4
>>383419139
The game itself doesn't have much rain but the level that features rain has a song that complements rain well.

sounds nice. I've heard of that game but I never see anyone talk about it on /v/.
Digital Devil Saga
Witcher 3 in no man's land
>>383421992
People typically don't like it, but i do so i cant say if its my blind nostalgia or my shit taste.
unironically minecraft
>>383419139
Diablo 2 :)
So just what the hell was this thing?
>>383422987
the monster or the game?
>>383423151
But what was it? It somehow had control of the world, had some interest in the kids, but you never get anything to know more about it. Was it a kid who got lost in the world and transformed? A doctor allegory like some people have theorized?
>>383423487
i have never thought that much about it
>>383423642
I swear it looks like something ripped out of Folklore.
>>383423841
is that game good
>>383424540
It's pretty fun, though it was early PS3 so it has its share of lag when going in and out of some menus. The sixaxis controls were actually kind of fun, at least something creative compared to "tilt the controller around like you're balance on a ball so you can walk across this narrow foothold we were too lazy just let you fucking jump over"
>>383419139
Rain World.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxbQy0U92R4
Arkham Knight's whole story takes place during one night, and under rain.
>>383419139
HZD has good rain. Just pray the fog doesn't come around. Shit looks fucking stupid. When it's just rain, it's fantastic. Ambient as fuck.

good choice

While not a lot, I loved when there were heavy storms in GTAV. The crack of thunder and seeing the lightning flash across the sky was nice. Would have nifty if it had a chance to strike you like it can in Botw, just more of a happenstance than "physics"
>>383419139
Was this game ever good?
Also, I recommend the first Metroid Prime.
>>383428405
It's not bad, but it is quite short, and doesn't have any challenge beyond a few annoying parts that don't take long to figure out at all. For something clearly taking a page from Ico, it does a nice job imitating the whole "kids lost in a strange and hostile world" vibe, but I can see how the length and lack of any serious challenge will put off most people.
Ending theme is gorgeous.

>>383429119
how much is it on PSN?
>>383419139
GTA 3.
While listening to that Omni Trio song, or some jamaican DnB.
Feels.
When it rains in GTA 5, it's quite comfy
>>383429349
Probably like $15 or so, most PSN only titles are like that unless they're on sale or something from PS1.
>>383427750
Much better story and experience than GTA V, imho. None of that "ride your car for 30 seconds to the destination" bullshit that the GTA series is known for.
Heavy rain
>inb4 JASON
Take your reddit memes somewhere else
Hollow Knight's central city is called City of Tears because of never-ending rain, it's incredibly comfy because you can also explore the buildings and hear raindrops falling onto the roofs and hitting the windows.
Final Fantasy 9 has Burmecia, one of the most atmospheric locations.
>>383429486
Far as I can recall, all of the GTAs had a nice rain in them, even if each new game made them more impressive and realistic. Cruising through VC on a bike at night during the rain while blaring Flock of Seagulls was always nice. Or listening to some country in San Andreas while navigating the boonies.
I imagine those truck simulators get comfy too with the rain.
>>383419139
Where do you live OP?
I'm in Tucson. Rain should be coming any minute by now.
>>383419139
ETS2 and ATS. Night time driving with rain set to max is pretty comfy.
>>383429517
eh I'll pick it up when it's on sale sometime maybe
in general, i wish more games had a rainy atmosphere like that though

Except I was here when Heavy Rain released. We started that meme.
Go back to >Reddit.

Why IS rain so dramatic? Want to make an epic show down fight? Make it dark, make falling water come from the sky, but everone agrees its great. Why? Whats in our psychology for that?
Playiing as Germany in HoI4, listening to this and the in-game rain when you zoom in is great. Then again the game doesn't have a lot of rain or anything so you're probably not looking for this

>running from invisible terminator and his invisible monster hounds
>cozy
>>383430650
There are plenty of instances where you don't have to deal with the monsters.
Ryzyko deszczu
>>383430390
Adds to the atmosphere. Things are darker, the rain can affect the arena in some cases (or the lightning), and there's just something about the heavy rapping of a downpour that makes things so much more engaging than say seeing a duel in the midday/morning sun.
Shame that the last console Silent Hill had to be such garbage, I loved the idea of the rain being some kind of rogue element that could be a serious threat to you.
In 2, when the friendly mobsters says "Cause I'm a Rain Dog, too." put the song on for the rest of the sequence and it feels so right

>>383429895
I'm in Phoenix. Still no rain. Probably won't rain for another few days.
>>383422508
Came here to post this.
>>383431690
When the hell is the new game coming out? It's been like 3 years since the reformed Irem team said they were doing it.
>>383419139
>bou7ght this game for SP3
Still not played it.
I have vowed to myself not to buy any more vidya until I have at least finished my PS4 backlog.
Not actually sure what game this is.
>>383433360
looks like Gothic
How does Skyrim look when it rains?
>>383433360
looks like gothic 2
>>383430992
2/10, spróbuj ponownie.
>>383433360
Looks pretty nifty
>>383420986
Isn't it just some original animation?
I remember the old PS3 trailer looking pretty comfy with the rain section. It was even pretty neat how they were showing off what appeared to be a new conversation system where I assume you could choose emotions to go with your responses.
>>383419139
this twenty-year-old adventure game.
I like walking around in the rain in Watchdogs, especially since you have a comfy coat on.
>>383439103
they were going to make a sequel?!
i loved steambot chronicles
that game was so fun and unique
>>383439463
forgottenlike tears in the rain
>>383440743
They were clearly trying to make the thing a series, given it had two spinoffs on the PSP. One was a tourney game that was loosely set after the original game, and the other was a weird tetris-like game.
>>383419139
This game right here.
The final fight was all kinds of crazy with the storm blaring around you
>>383441552
>>383429895
Not the same guy, in Maine and we've been having an occasional storm or two here and there. Sometimes they last a while, others seem to end almost as fast as they began.
Love the foggy mornings
>>383441552
>The only part with rain
reee
>>383443725
What game is that?
>>383426695
This. Game was kinda dumpy, but it was super cozy just wandering around Gotham's rooftops and listening to the criminal radio chatter in the rain.
Cleyra in ff9
>>383446247
>listening to criminals is comfy
>>383419139
>>383447210
They're pretty cartoonish at times, so yea
>>383447364
Fair enough.
GTAV
Shadowrun Hong Kong
BOTW
MGSV
Fallout 4 with True Storms
Interstellar Marines had really good rain effects but the game is dead
Eh
>>383433360
looks like the greatest RPG of all time to me
>>383451209
this captures what it means to be lost like tears in rain
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzjnMEcFmyw
the weather is probably the best part about the game
>>383433360
is it time to talk about the most comfy rpg of all times ?
>>383451209
Damn, that's some attention to detail. Most games just have the ground get wet once the heavier rain sets in.
>>383451209
What game?
>>383451431>>383453802
>>383453974
and it comes from a broken and forgotten machine
>>383454641
Huh, I thought it was that Rainbow Six Siege, since I had seen some gameplay that showed off some fairly impressive details amidst its more broken features.
Shame, since it shows the teams of those games do have a passion, but turn out clunkers.
>>383429963
Can't remember if I got my copy "free" or when it was on sale. But yea, would be better to wait until it's at least 10 bucks as that's a more suitable price for it. Still, it's pretty cute, and has these neat watercolor scenes for the start and end.
>>383454926
not much is broken in siege anymore, they've patched the shit out of that game anon, if you've been avoiding it I advise you give it another look, fun tacticool shootan if you can get a group together
love /r6g/
>>383457184
That's a surprise, a broken game being fixed completely?
>>383458982
The only really broken thing was the matchmaking which has been mostly fixed now
Wind was pretty cozy with the rain, if you were on land.
>>383459782
Shame there wasn't another big storm near the end when Ganon had nabbed Zelda. Would have made trekking around the ocean more intense. Still, that final battle.
