To my knowledge. But all of the data on guilty gear is counted in frames apparently from what I've found. All sources say GGs input lag is 1 frame on PC. KIs delay is 81ms. I know KI internally runs at 90fps but displays at 60 so I don't know if that would matter in terms of input delay.

BB and Marvel aren't current age fighting games. SFV is heavily flawed, but is still serviceable. Probably the best thing to happen to the FGC's tournament infrastructure. Injustice still has the common flaws of NRS games, but they seem to be trying a more conservative approach to how they are patching the game so it may be more interesting competitively. Tekken needs some work on its console releases, but is mechanically good. Guilty Gear isn't exactly my cup of tea, but it's been getting more popular. They also aren't actively alienating their player base, so that's good. Haven't played KoF. Heard it had some balancing issues, but has been slowly improving with patches. All around not bad.

It's closer to a golden shower age than a golden age tbqh. Capcom is too far gone, their shitty business practices, lack of inhouse talent, and warped design philosophy of simplifying and homogenizing their games to death leaves little room for improvement. Arcsys fighters are a mixed bag. Guilty Gear Xrd is good but Blazblue's balance is all over the place to the point where it's unwise to get too attached to your character lest it get gutted in the next update, not to mention that half of the roster is not even viable for competitive play. Netherrealm games are similar in that regard but also have the oversimplification of recent Capcom games to boot. Marvel 3 is dead. KOF is deader. Tekken is 3D fightan and almost in it's own segregated circle like smash is.

Honestly, the fighting game genre lives and dies with Capcom, and they're irredeemable at this point. I'm interested in the bamco/arcsys partnership with DBFZ and what that will accomplish though.

I'm over SFV ranked. Wanted to pursue diamond just cause the icon is pretty, but now I've gone down from ultra plat because EVERY fucking match has been laggy today.

Eh, it was alright. My parents owned a business that required moving to different countries every 3 months or so, as a result it was really the only option. Since they were always out of town I had to teach myself most of the subject through nothing but reading books. Worked better in some subjects than others.

I'm not sure, I personally really like Guilty Gear but there's a big gap between the top and the bottom skill wise. I put a little effort in and can find people to play with who are close, I mostly find people who are worse than me (I play on PC) and I'm not that good

I've only played 98, and 2 others. It's pretty fun from what I remember, I had the port on PS3 before I sold it. I also like Tekken I used to play T6 with my friends, and Revolution, and I have the 3ds ver as well, I emulate the gameboy one from time to time.

Also UMvC3 is probably one of my favorites fighting games ever but it's clearly NOT from this "age". SF5 is meh, I don't understand how can this game be so boring to watch, I actually liked a lot the competition in SF4... I'm not a huge fan of 3D fighting games like Tekken, so I won't say my opinion over it, but it's received pretty well I think. GG and BB are good I guess, I like them both even though i pretty much suck at them. Never were a huge fan of netherrealm games, but Injustice is very fun, my supergirl is starting to get some good combos.

Wouldn't say it's a golden age though...

Well yeah, but only because Capcom is artificially killing the game. It's the same as for SF4. I'm sure lots of people would prefer to stick with UMVC3 than go for the Infinite scam. Same thing for SF5, the only reason people play it competitively at high level instead of 4 is because there is money. Not because it's better.
