My theory is /v/ is just entirely self-loathing at this point and fond of making excuses hence this whole "ironic weeb" thing. There's nothing ironic about it, your just afraid to admit that deep down you think your own taste is godawful and are aware that you have no actual life. The healing process can only begin if you actually own up to it and rejoin reality a little.

Anyway that's why I think people keep doing this stuff, it's like some form of coping mechanism in realizing that their lives are currently going nowhere and trying to pass the blame for it off onto other people or pretend it's all just "for the shitposting and memes".
