Well there's no trigger. The drum is just kinda clipping into stuff with no way to do anything. Also assuming you just flick the hammer, it would just make your scope explode because the hammer is on the scope, not the barrel.

Basically the only feasible option is that the scope is in fact not a scope and just fires a single artillery sized shotgun shell. Which would in fact just explode because there's barely even a barrel. The closest comparison I could make is a slam fire pipe shotgun but at least those things actually worked kinda.

A for what you'd consider the "classic" shield used by knights, the kite and variants.

B is for a parrying buckler, which is about the size of a dinner plate with a dome for the hand and used for, obviously, parrying.
OR the "viking" round shield which is like dinner table sized and is meant to catch blades in the wooden edge and pivot at the center grip to absorb momentum and perform a few simple maneuvers.

I feel like the barrel is too thin though. Anything that would fit well enough to slide down just wouldn't be heavy enough to generate the force needed to fire itself on the pin at the bottom.
