Is this a joke? None of those games are tactical FPS games. They are games for ADD kiddies, ignorant enough not to bother looking up the original and true tactical FPS games.

The old Rainbow Six and SWAT games are absolute fucking garbage that are even worse than games like Siege. They also aged like milk.
The best ones are always the ones "in the middle" between the newer and older games, so to speak. Like Raven Shield.

I played some Raven Shield in co-op lately, and it's eeeh/10

>mission planner is not a thing in multiplayer
>some missions with unique objectives and fun map layouts are fun
>a lot of the missions are absolute shit
>hostage missions were hard until we realized you just have to find and shoot the one guy who's scripted to shoot the hostages (others can't kill them)
>smoke grenades just break the AI and trivialize everything
>limited amount of viable approaches to anything

Playing shit like modded SWAT4 is more fun desu senpai

I'm in the same boat.
I think you're just supposed to start out following the mission plans they've designed for you and if the game really tickles your fancy you can replay the missions making your own.

An aside, I played SWAT 3 and 4 and I found SWAT 3 to be fucking amazing. I felt useless compared to my well oiled machine of a squad. I moved on to SWAT 4 and I was very disappointed by how AWFUL your squad behaved. They just loved to gas a room and enter it before it deployed, or just stand there waiting for suspects to shoot them in the face.
