Does anybody honestly find this game fun? I thought it was just a giant shit meme. It's so fucking shallow and soulless.

Disappointed they made him a super serious edgelord. Unimpressed with his character design; visually boring and uninspiring. Wanted Terry Crews as the VA. No idea what his abilities are in game, not interested enough to see what he does.

Roadhog could remain a fairly safe distance away, hook to completely disable them, hope his aim isn't really fucking bad to get the instakill. Heal off any damage by himself giving him ult charge too. Meanwhile his alt fire could delete people easily.

One is an attacker, the other is a tank. That distinction makes it a clear balance problem.

Most fucking fun I've had in years. It's basically that Breakdown xbox game now. He has SHORYUKEN, GROUND PUNCH, and FAAAAALCON PUNCH! His ult is basically Hulk's Gamma Crush.

It's FPS Street Fighter, running around, punching motherfuckers.

As far as game meta, he's like a no range McRee with ridiculous flash mobility. He can jump halfway across the map in about one second. He's easily countered from afar, but if he catches you from behind he's a ONE PUNCH MAN.

When I play him, I keep telling people I am a Prince and need their bank account to hold my money as I flee my country.

Hate the design. So asymmetrical it's unbelievable, along with having the insane billionaire CEO supergenius dress like a tribal. They did so well combining old and new with Zenyatta and McCree, and then they just fell flat on their fucking faces with this.

The character himself is played way too straight for an idiot named DOOMFIST who unironically wishes to plunge the world into chaos, but the voice is decent.

Playstyle seems fun and momentum based.

They shot themselves in the foot by making each character so niche and limited in their loadouts.
There are extreme skews in viability and "FUN" between characters that are self-sufficient and versatile, and those that are so narrowly designed that they don't just have weaknesses, they have big gaping holes that make them absolutely reliant on others.

The Rock-Paper-Scissors "Counterpicking is a core part of Overwatch" and the godawful MMO Trinity of Damage-Tank-Healer are both fucking awful concepts to put in a fucking shooter.

Based on fucking what? The previous two Doomfists were black and of African origin, and the silhouette of the third current Doomfist was similarly large and beefy. Orisa was designed and created to counter the current Doomfist, meaning he's a threat primarily in Africa.

He's nothing more then a glorified ult battery in the new dive meta

I've actually played with Doomfist a bit in the PTR and he feels like a Paladins character, really low quality.

Now, don't get me wrong, he's very strong. His primary left-hand gun is powerful (perhaps too powerful), a fully-charged rocket punch can one-shot people, and he has the bulk to do it.

But, he's a poor quality hero because. 1.) His playstyle amounts to just spamming all cooldowns if you're near an enemy. There is no nuance to him, he's basically Vi from League of Legends. 2.) His abilities have no "oomph" to them, I'm hoping to god they decide to revise this because this is where the Hi-Rez quality critique comes from. His left-hand gun has the same light flicker firing animation as D.Va's mech and despite looking like a pitiful little flicker, his guns do a lot of damage and the worst thing of all with him is that his array of punches have no feedback to them. You don't know that you hit an enemy. The only indication you get is if they die from the rocket punch or uppercut. Literally all they have to do is copy-paste the chunky interaction from Reinhardt. When you hit somebody with Reinhardt's hammer, there is that "chunky" feedback interaction where you know you plowed your hammer against them. Doomfist desperately needs that. As it stands, Doomfist's signature move doesn't feel good at all.

I know exactly what you mean. This is one of the reasons I hated DaS2 so much compared to the other Souls games and Bloodborne. I like heavy weapons and in DaS2 they had no OOMPH, no good feedback, the screen shake wasn't there and it felt like I was slapping someone with a wet towel.

Doomfist's punches all feel pretty bad. Especially the uppercut. The only active frame is the start up.

A lot of the charge punch's damage comes from hitting people into a wall, but I do agree his attacks feel a little floaty. Reinhardt's got that nice "THUNK" when you hit people with the hammer, or pin them to a wall, and Doomfist really lacks that. As for his primary, I think that if they gave the hand a real good recoil animation from firing, that would help give the feeling that the Hand Cannon is a rather powerful gun.

The Second Doomfist, the Scourge, was a mercenary who worked with Talon, and took the Successor in as a mercenary.

The Successor is the Doomfist in the game, and killed the Scourge to become Doomfist, taking his gauntlet. He was the one who fought Winston, which we saw in the origin video.

The character design philosophy makes characters feel so restrictive that they get boring to play after a while, and adding to that the choke heaving map design leads to a lot of matches being agonizing stalemates adding to the monotony. both teams can play the exact same top tier champs if they want, also some people are just better with the lower tier champs, also both teams play both sides of the maps within the same time length; so it still boils down to skills and teamwork
