Anchorhead gets my vote. Really good Lovecraftian horror.

>tfw I beat Zork on the Black Ops title screen
I miss those days. Late at night getting comfy and shit-talking friends over Xbox live while playing a text adventure emulated in a first person shooter.

I dont know why, but it enrages me that blackops had zork as a easter egg in game

I'm playing Suveh Nux right now. Pretty fun escape-the-room game in which you're a wizard's apprentice stuck in a locked room and you have to learn the language of magic to get out.

Choice of Robots is pretty amazing, though of course it doesn't really fit into the category of the "classical" text adventure
Thy Dungeonman II

Planetfall sounds like the more exciting spin off to Planetside 1&2.

Based on the cover art it's an 80's version of Space Station 13.

Never played robots, but many of those choice of games are perfection. There's a samurai one I'm especially fond of. Shame they'll never be popular. I used to be really into finding random games on the app store and there are gems man
>play some old text adventures for the sake of nostalgia
>get stuck in unwinnable scenarios
I forgot how bullshit this genre could be
