Where do I go from here? I have about 100 citizens, a quarry, mine, brewery, farm patch that farms wheat, two orchards and various other essential buildings

I usually build forestry outposts with other forest stuff attached all leading back to the main village. Build a couple of houses near it too so people live near work.
It can be a little tricky getting people to move into appropriate houses though.
Also make sure they have access to the market.
The other big thing is be aware of how much stone is left on the map and build mines before it becomes an issue.
That or start trading like crazy but that brings plague eventually so be prepared for that

Does simply having a trading post bring plague or does plague only happen if you actually accept a trade?
Can hospitals prevent the plague or are you fucked?

I think as soon as boats start arriving the risk is there. Hospitals don't prevent it but mitigate it massively. It turns a game over into one or two deaths

Make sure you pirate the newest version
Also does anybody know how far I should spread out my school? I have to centers of commerces and two mini villages each with a market but only one has a school
Can the children from the second village get to school in the first or is it a better idea to make a second school?
