i like dayz and still play it, but one thing i will say is that there isnt a real long term reason to work together with other players. theres not much reason to work with people other than to have someone (who you may or may not trust) watch your back. The game starts to feel shallow and thats why most just turn to banditry. You have many more reasons to be afraid of people and not interact with anyone outside of shooting them

but they need meaningful crafting and base building, i consider that the main problem with the game.

Unturned was the poster child of what early access is supposed to be like kind of like Subnautica. It had constant updates and constantly got better it has a very large amount of features for a game made by a single person and it's free. It's probably one of the best survival games out right now for what that's worth
