It had the definitive version of many games, and /v/ agrees portability makes a game the best version.

I have 2 vitas and a Vita TV. All of them hacked. Now that they can play PSone games and perfectly emulate everything up to 6th gen with the exclusion of N64 (for now) it's still one of my favorite handhelds.

I've never owned a Sony console during it's relevancy before the Vita. I'm really not sure what but something possessed me to impulse buy one of these guys when it was pretty much brand new.

For a while I hated it. Because the killer apps were scant at first and then disappeared. But after awhile I really warmed up to it. Especially since I really never had a ton of experience with Sony consoles despite owning the PS and PS2 so I actually got to add a ton of variety to my library of games I never had before.
Flower, the 3 vanillaware games (I had emulated the Wii version of Muramasa), Rachet and Clank, Sly Cooper, Sine Mora, Strangers Wrath, EDF, Wipeout.) and a few new vita games (though I'll freely admit less than I'd like) like Tearaway, Thieves in Time, Gravity Rush, TxK, Soul Sacrifice, and Freedom Wars.

Hilariously the WiiU Vita Dreamcast and Gamecube are some of my favorite consoles.

Also hows the hacking? I want to turn these wonderful buttons and top tier screen into an emulation/piracy beast. Also anything in that front that can make third party memory a reality?

This. Got one from a normie, barely used slim with killzone and uncharted for $80. Already got a 128gb sd card, just waiting for that sd card adapter and i'm ready for all those free games.

I got one for $100, and it's running henkaku. Had to drop another $60 for the 32gb stick though, which is still bullshit. There are a lot of really decent games on the vita. Soul Sacrifice is an absolute must-play if you're into 3D brawlers and/or hunter-style games.
