If it still makes cash, then there's little reason for them to change their business model. That said, outside of the two guest characters (Mai and Nao), all the DLC is superfluous and are just hats. I feel the same way as you, though. Wish they would make some of the older DLC available for free considering the state of the game.

I think I'm gonna buy DOA5 for the PS3 even though the community is on terminal life support. Thanks for that anon for letting me know there was a free to play version so i could try it out.

I really fucking suck though, like holy shit do i suck. I just get demolished online even by other players that have the same rank as me (a lot of lag too). I get stunlocked nonstop, i just mash hold like a scrub to get out of it and get fucked again. Also i just don't seem to be able to punish people with throws, like they will do a whole string on me that i block i go for a throw and they will just beat me with a slow looking kick because they were spamming strings, which is what i resort to. I was at least decent at a beginner level at Tekken, as in i don't panic and i did play a lot of DOA2 singleplayer back in the day but none of that is showing. I also don't like the combo system because i can't mash strings and correct (change) inputs in the middle to get a different one, everything gets buffered. Is Kasumi hard to play?

Anyway i don't know if I'll like this game and i guess I'll be playing mostly singleplayer because of the relatively low layer count but I'll give a try because i like the characters and i should buy something i haven't played in this PSN sale, plus i need something to not burn out on Ninja Gaiden

It's just a lot of player with awful connections to me. When i get anything that's not 1 bar red it's pretty decent, at least i don't have the sensibilities to spot flaws at that level.

At least it's playable even with lag, unlike Sigma 2 where the whole game becomes a slide show if the connection is bad.

So if you did PPHP, you'd get PP and P, not PPP.

Say a character has a PPPPP string and i want to do a PPPKK string, if i just mash P in a panic to try and punish something the game will buffer my inputs and only the first string will come out regardless of what i input after it began. In some games you could mash P but then use visual confirmation of the animations and start mashing K midway through to get the second string. I only tried Kasumi and this was immediately obvious because her punches are so fast and she has so many strings that branch from doing kicks after each of her punches.
