same reason I've never played Morrowind. I've played next game in the series first as a kid, and trying to backtrack is hard cause of some gameplay changes/improvements. I also hated dream sequences, I think I've stopped playing cause of one.

This. MP2 is garbage compared to the first game and even MP3.
Payne 2 is just boring corridors, an hospital, buildings etc. where 1 and 3 have great atmosphere and level designs choices.
