When does the game get good? I just made it into the proper city place and I've might have spent too much time in the dungeons under my castle because I'm already getting a bit worn out. The only character I like so far is Eder.

Act 3 and 4 only get weaker than the earlier acts. Like, Eder's companion quest was solved within Act 2 (if solved is the correct word for the depressingly real conclusion to trying to find his dead brother's motivations) and you never have any scripted interaction with him.

Probably was nerfed, don't remember how it worked because I played on hard at release and It was piss easy so I almost never bothered using priest spells
Besides the dragon is now immune to fire and petrification but you can still spam paralyze scroll

These were castable out of combat way back. People would make parties of 6 priests and stack shitloads of seals under non-hostile dragon.

Traps used to stack and didn't banish even if you rest.
So burn all seals and traps in one area, lure dragon, shit explodes and dragon is either dead or soft enough for easy kill.

I fucking used that tactic against demogorgon as well in ToB with edwin spamming skull trap all day before summoning it. Shit was cash.
