Why do western game journalists like cinematic experiences so much?

Because they don't like video games but aren't smart enough to break into any other medium.
Cinematic experiences are like movies where you press up.

They want to believe cinematic games are art because movies are art. This is dumb because it would be like calling a musical piece art because the score looks pretty hanged on the wall.

They can't understand that if videogames could be considered art, it would be because of the entire package that defines a videogame, especially gameplay.
