It's actually not that bad, because you can find the premium stuff in crates all the time, but the reason why it failed was because there wasn't anything else. You join a random town that was already doing perfectly and thus there was no reason for you to even play.

JK I fucking quit

The game wasn't fun to play. It was meant to be play with others but for the most part can't see anyone due to the weird character phasing playing with friends was impossible. You needed badges to use any of the upgraded gear and that required freedom dollars (the pay to win money) even more if you wanted a home which was just a building with your name on it to change clothes and the ability to vote. Leveling system was so half assed and grindy by level 10 it took 9 times the exp to level while nothing gave more exp.

I liked it, it was a neat experience while it lasted (one that most developers wouldn't even attempt) but after spending a whole weekend with it I got what I wanted out of it. Not surprised to see it go, art is ephemeral and all of that.
