Around half of his HP I remember my own HP digits would become unreadable yellow missingno-like squares, then as you progress the fight the same happens on Bowser sprite and fireballs.
The brothers and their attacks were normal tho.

Once you clear the fight, the game returns perfectly normal - also that's the only point in the whole game I had graphical glitches. Playing on DS btw, not emulating
